Beyond the visual aspect, I prioritize sustainability; my posters are made from environmentally friendly paper. This concept not only offers a visual experience but also provides an eco-conscious choice for those who want to introduce modern art with a green footprint into their space.

Case summary

During a 4-week project, I was challenged to work with the Lean Startup method, where I had to develop an online webshop for designing and possibly selling posters. Throughout the project, participants could choose to work individually or in groups, and I chose to take on the challenge solo, handling all tasks myself. In addition to this, I also created an e-commerce website on WordPress where the posters would be sold.

I worked with omnichannel, focusing on Meta Business Suite, where I tracked statistics and analyzed data from the posts and stories I shared on Instagram and Facebook.

The provided task description stated:
“In this 4-week thematic course, you will work on your own idea for a poster or poster concept and develop a business concept based on it. You will sell your posters through a webshop. You are expected to use Lean Startup as the development method throughout your process, where we anticipate that you have gone through the Lean Startup cycle more than once.”

In this concept, the focus is on minimalist and modern design, which is highly sought after at the moment.
It is a growing market, although there are competitors who also create graphic illustrations.
However, in this concept, the geometric and abstract designs are combined, and there is also a wider range of colors in the posters. In addition to my design, I aim to emphasize sustainability, ensuring that my posters are produced on sustainable paper.

On the homepage, visitors are greeted with an animated section featuring abstract lines and the text: ‘explore our collections of minimalism, modern & abstract art.’
This immediately gives customers an idea of what the webshop offers.

Some highlighted services include free shipping, fast delivery, secure payment, and a focus on sustainable posters. At the bottom of the page, the best-selling posters are showcased.

The page allows for easy sorting of products by price, popularity, or relevance.

Additionally, the design maintains a minimalist and clear aesthetic to ensure a cohesive concept.

Single product

On the individual product page, the most essential information is presented, including price, description, and a button to add the product to the cart.
At the bottom of the page, other products that the customer might also want to purchase are displayed.

An additional advantage is that when the product is added to the cart, the cart is displayed on the side, allowing the customer to easily overview the selected products for purchase.

On the webshop, an ‘About Us’ page is available for the audience to learn more about Digiefs’ commitment to sustainable printing and environmental conservation.

Additionally, there is information on how to contact Digiefs for collaboration opportunities or to share other sustainable ideas.

This concept integrates omnichannel strategies by offering an online webshop that serves as an additional channel to allow users to purchase my posters. I also leverage the power of social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook as part of my marketing and sales strategy.
Whether users buy through my webshop, I ensure a consistent brand experience, and my efficient order management system ensures a reliable purchasing experience.

Visual Identity

The visual identity of Digiefs’ concept is carefully crafted to convey a sense of minimalist elegance and modern aesthetics. The primary element in the identity is the geometric and abstract design, symbolizing a fusion of simplicity and artistic complexity.

Colors

The logo consists of the color heritage “Japanese Indigo”, expressing simplicity, modernity, and elegance. This color enhances the visual identity of the entire concept.

Typography

The font plays a crucial role for the webshop and also creates a good first impression.
Therefore, I have chosen the font ‘Poiret One’ for the logo. ‘Poiret One’ is a unique typeface with light forms and pure elegance. It is based on geometric shapes and features stylish lines.
I deliberately chose to give the logo a personality that reflects the entire concept and emphasizes minimalist characteristics.
